Practices and Issues Related to Developing and Delivering Instruction in Business Training Setting

Introduction

Training can come in many different forms and can be used for different purposes. Depending on its purpose, training can be: formal or informal; costly or inexpensive; intensive or casual. Training can take place on the job, in a classroom, in group settings such as staff meetings or supervisor-staff discussions, or at special training conferences. Training can be provided by a supervisor, a program specialist, an outside expert, or a training consultant. Regardless of the circumstance, many of the same issues and practices are present when developing and delivering instruction in a business training setting.
