Current Classroom Trends
Steven Funke
As new technology evolves or becomes more available the extension of
the traditional classroom changes as well. The use of telecommunication
media will create a learning community that will allow each student to
control the time, place and pace of instruction while interacting with
other students and the instructor. These media technologies such as electronic
mail, computer conferencing, listservs and telnet are a part of these
learning communities.
These new media technologies are changing classroom settings as we know
it all over the world. As the need for distance learning
increases so do nontraditional students who are on the move
in internet cafes, airports or at their home. Countries from
all over the world are now joining the chase to use technologies
in their teaching strategies. Learn More
