Introduction:

Howdy Fellow Educators,

Welcome to Get Real, A Teachers Guide to Technology in the Classroom.

Research is showing more and more that technology integration in the classroom based on sound teaching theory and pedagogy works.  Research is also finding that one of the largest obstacles in integrating technology in the classroom is simply knowing what tools to use and over coming technical problems.  This program is designed to help you overcome some of the more common and easier to fix technical glitches that you are most likely to run into.  We also go into some of the various software tools that are available on the market that will serve you well in the classroom.

Purpose:

The overriding purpose of this project is simple, to help the teacher with the mundane tasks of technology integration so they can use new and innovative ways to bring technology into the classroom and help their students learn.  Everything about this project is geared towards this end. This project is not specifically geared towards any one group of teacher (Elementary, Secondary, College) instead it focuses on the technology needs of all educators.
