Equity in Technology Education

Bridging the Digital Divide

"No Child Left Behind", signed on January 8, 2002 by President Bush, requires that all eighth graders be "computer literate" by the end of the 2007 school year. This goal, while admirable, will be difficult to attain. Mandating an equal education for all students requires addressing the unequal environments students learn in. We attempt, in this website, to examine some of the inequities that students face in technology education.
